The rate of bitcoin fell below $19 thousand, having updated the minimum since October 13. As the price of the first cryptocurrency fell below the psychologically important mark of $19,000, the liquidation of positions in bitcoin on cryptocurrency exchanges amounted to $725,000 in an hour. A total of $10 million worth of cryptocurrency positions were liquidated, 97% of which were long.

Following the bitcoin decline, other cryptocurrencies are getting cheaper, too: Ethereum showed a 1.2% drop to $1.27, Binance Coin dropped in value by 2.2% to $266, and Ripple fell by 4.4% to $0.44. The total capitalization of the cryptocurrency market decreased by 1.5% to $943 billion overnight.
